Muhammad Faiaz is SWI’s Founder and Chairman of the Board. Faiaz founded SWI in 2004 and with his team built it into a globally diversified professional engineering and project management company providing turnkey and staff augmentation services to the IT and telecommunications sectors. He has a strong track record of success growing businesses from startup to maturity in multiple countries and has previously founded companies in the IT and telecommunication industry.
Rashid Iqbal joined SWI in 2015 as the Chief Executive Officer. He is a seasoned global executive with 21+ years of experience in the telecom arena. He has worked or managed operations on five different continents and brings a wealth of management skills that blends culture, language, norms and best practices in an ever shrinking global market place. He prides himself on being creative to the nth degree to help his customers achieve success and practices his out of the box approach to team interaction.
Rashid serves on the Board of Advisors for the College of International Studies at the University of Oklahoma. Prior to joining SWI, he served as the COO for LCC International for the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Turkey region. At LCC, he held several senior management roles in the Americas including SVP of Strategy, Sales & Operations, VP of Engineering Services and SVP of Customer Engagement. Rashid started his career at Walmart Stores Inc. at their corporate headquarters as an Analyst and later worked for Pacific Bell Mobile Services (currently AT&T) in the western part of The United States
Rashid loves to explore new places and cultures. Has skydiving as one of his bucket list items and is a car enthusiast. He is a diehard Sooner football fan and a graduate from the University of Oklahoma.
Jake Rasweiler has more than 20 years of venture-backed business operations, engineering, sales and business development experience within the wireless communications and IT industry. Prior to stepping into the role of COO, Jake was a strategic advisor to SWI and held executive roles in the wireless and IT sectors including COO/CSO at On-Ramp Wireless commercializing the company’s technology in M2M and industrial automation, and CTO at Arcadian Networks where he was instrumental in developing and deploying Smart Grid wireless networking systems. His wireless carrier experience includes various leadership roles at Sprint/Nextel and AT&T, including Senior Director for the New York Area and Northeast Design leader. Working with strategic investors and venture partners Jake funded, designed, launched and operated networks for wireless operators, utilities, oil and gas companies in North and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia. He holds degrees in Physics (BA), Electrical Engineering(MSEE) and Management (MBA), is a licensed professional engineer and has been awarded two patents.
John O’Leary John O’Leary has over 18 years of Management, engineering, operations, project management, and Staffing/Recruiting experience within the wireless communications and IT industry. John has been with SWI for the past 4 years. Prior to his role as Senior Director Technical Services at SWI, John was Director Technical Services for Unitek Global Services/Nextlink/BCI, Director Engineering Operations at Arcadian Networks and Senior Engineering & Operations Manager at Sprint Nextel. John holds degrees in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Business (MBA) and is certified by NY State in Engineering Principles.
